Anandu Krishna Surendran is a dynamic leader in green hydrogen education and a Co-Founder of GreenH₂ NxT, where he serves as Technical Lead. With an M.Sc. in Sustainability and Renewable Energy from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (APJAKTU), India, he combines a strong technical foundation with specialised expertise in sustainability and renewable energy systems.
His master’s thesis, Harnessing Hydrogen for Sustainability: An Empirical Investigation of Career Motivation in Climate Education, which was graded 1.0 (very good), provided the foundational research for the Scientia platform, an AI-powered, gamified learning ecosystem currently under development at GreenH₂ NxT. This platform is designed to enhance climate literacy and foster career motivation in the hydrogen sector, aligning with the Indo-European Hydrogen Roadmap. The platform’s promising progress has inspired the establishment of GreenH₂ NxT to scale these innovations globally.
At GreenH₂ NxT, Anandu leads the development and quality of renewable energy content to build future-ready climate skills and collaborates closely with the digital technology team to innovate on the learning experience. His work has earned recognition from prominent policymakers and industry leaders, including the Ministry of Economics, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia and India’s Ambassador to the European Union.
Committed to driving the global transition to a hydrogen economy, Anandu bridges technical innovation, educational research, and international collaboration. He is dedicated to empowering individuals with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to thrive in the sustainability workforce, with plans to further enhance this mission through advanced research in his upcoming doctoral studies.
